Lane County Suicide Prevention Steering Committee (SPSC)

SPSC’s Goal

To facilitate community efforts to prevent suicide in Lane County.

2012 Objectives

  1.  Identify Lane County suicide prevention, screening, assessment and referral services 
  2. Promote coordination and awareness of suicide-related resources
  3. Increase opportunities for provider and public suicide-related education         
  4. Implement public educational campaigns related to mental health promotion and suicide prevention 
  5. Assist schools and communities in Lane County to increase their mental health promotion and suicide prevention efforts
  6. Advocate for mental health promotion and suicide prevention services, supports and resources
