What is "prevention" and why is it important?
Prevention is defined as "the active process of creating conditions that enhance the well-being of people." We believe prevention is all connected. This belief is why we address multiple risk factors & protective factors throughout each of our program areas.
Our current focus areas in prevention are: substance abuse prevention, problem gambling prevention, underage drinking prevention, suicide prevention and mental health promotion.
